Temperatures by the beach this weekend are expected to reach a high of 81 degrees on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Cooler weather is anticipated on Saturday with a high of 78 degrees and the low should stay around 67 degrees through the weekend.

A weather advisory has been issued for an elevated fire danger due to high and dry temperatures and will be in effect throughout the weekend and into the first part of the week. The high temperatures may bring an increased risk of heat related illnesses. Remember to stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, and never leave children or pets in vehicles, even for a short period of time.

The Allied Artists will host a paint-out at the Malibu Pier at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13.

The Hubbell Trading Post will showcase Navajo weavings and jewelry at 9:30 a.m. and you can learn about the Chumash on a one-mile walk at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at King Gillette Ranch.

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. As a result, Caltrans will close one lane of PCH in each direction between Heathercliff Road and Deer Creek Road from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On Sunday, the Adamson House will celebrate its 85th anniversary with an old-fashioned country faire starting at 12 p.m. Also on Sunday, the California Wildlife Center’s 16th annual “Wild Brunch” begins at 12 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the animals and Wildlife Center.
