As horror struck
and heroes rose up
The challenge was met,
the act had failed
I wept,
dried my eyes
and wept again.
America, a concept beyond,
a haven for all;
Hurt and Damaged,
stood taller than ever
I wept,
dried my eyes
and wept again.
How does a hate
become so great
As to surpass
God’s wonders
I wept
dried my eyes
and wept again.
Drawn together,
the multitude
All that is America
Standing as one
We wept
dried our eyes
and vowed our strength
to keep the dream.
