Known lovingly to family and friends as Jeff, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle following a catastrophic stroke. He was 60 years old.

Jeff was born on August 2, 1965, in Arusha, Tanzania, to Richard and Nancy Warnes. His early years were filled with curiosity and adventure, qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

Jeff graduated from Santa Monica High School, and shortly thereafter, he began working at Pepperdine University, where he honed the skills that led to a fulfilling career as a plumber.

Jeff worked at Pepperdine for several years before continuing his career with various plumbing companies throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Known for his craftsmanship and reliability, he was a man who took pride in a job well done and was always willing to help others with their projects, never expecting anything in return.

A steady rock, a protector, and a devoted family man, Jeff took immense pride in being a husband to his wife, Shellee, a father to his sons, Colby (Samantha), Josh (Lisa), and Cheyne, and later, a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Jules, Lennox, Asher, Indie and Rose. His mother, Nancy, sister, Dana, and brothers, Michael and Todd, will forever remember his sweet nature, fierce pride, unwavering loyalty and immense laughter. His nephew, Matthew (Nevi), and niece, Shelby (Dillon), will also carry forward his memory. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Warnes.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at Malibu West Beach Club. Services are scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories that celebrate the legacy he left behind.
