Franklin Haynes Marionettes came to Malibu Library on Thursday, Sept. 7, to entertain some of Malibu’s youngest residents, ages 5-12. The puppet show—“The Princess and The Pirates!”—followed the story of a princess and a pirate. To free the princess from the pirate Jack Cannonball and Skull Island, her brother John, the pirate dog Treasure and their friends must get Cannonball to laugh. The child-friendly marionette puppets used to tell the story stand at around 18-20 inches. The show was an event sponsored by the Friends of Malibu Library.
