Have you heard of Malibu Eco Spa? It’s across the street from restaurant Nobu. Anyway the person renting the building name is Jacob Zanki who is a scam artist. From previously working there and being acquainted with others who worked there most of the clients who comes in for details gets scammed by being told that extra work was done in the detail that was not done. He hires people from the homeless community and provides them with food, work clothes and his shed. That’s right he lets them sleep in the shed on the property that he doesn’t own which is a big risk of you want to prevent squatter rights. He also scams the workers since it is a commission based job. Employees make $5 every car and $7 every SUV unless they sell a full detail. Jacob have had multiple people quit because they were not receiving all of the money they were owed and it was impossible to know if you received all of your tips when you have Jacob writing your check. Once he provides the homeless employees with whatever they need he rips off they’re paycheck. He’s also lost multiple clients from selling cars that are not reliable for more than he brought it for. He’s also sold multiple cars without giving any documents such as a bill of sale, titles or pink slips which means he can say that The car was stolen because they’re is no proof that you made a purchase. Jacob have tooken car back that he had sold without the buyers knowledge. Recently, one of his employees quit because they had found a hourly job with a guaranteed 48 hours a week. He gave Jacob the keys to the shed indicating that he wouldn’t be sleeping there anymore because he finally saved up enough to buy a new car that he will now camp in. When this employee went to collect his last check from Jacob, Jacob was writing all the other employees they’re check but told this certain employee that he wasn’t paying him. When the employee asked why Jacob shrugged his shoulders. The employee told Jacob that what he was doing was illegal. “What are you going to do about it?” Replied Jacob. Jacob tried to make this employee mad and tried to convince the employee to hit him or “Do something” about it. The employee then called the police who came and told the men they would have to settle it in court it was nothing they could do. The employee told Jacob he didn’t have money for food for him and his wife and that he needed his check. This employee brung multiple clients to Jacobs business including Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union the employee met them while walking in Malibu and took a photo with Dwayne Wade. The employee gave Dwayne a business card to Jacobs detail shop, not knowing if we would ever come Dwayne showed up 2 weeks later with his and his wife’s car leaving a big too for the employee. This employee also worked on the property doing multiple repair jobs. Jacob hires homeless because they’re easy to manipulate but this time Jacob wasnt used to dealing with someone who no longer wanted to be controlled and work for little money. Jacob sold this employee a car 5 months ago when he first relocated to Malibu. The car has no bill of sale, title or pink slips and Jacob told this employee he could not drive the car after the employee put down $1,000 on a $3,000 car. Being that this employee is only 18 and have never had a car he did not realize he had to have certain documents for him to own the car. After Jacob refused to give the documents the 18 year old did a full detail on the car and gave it back to Jacob and Jacob gave him back $900 before making him do a second full detail claiming the car smelled like cigarette smoke when it was a freshly clean car with no smell. He’s still refusing to give the 18 year old his last check that he owes him. The 18 year old is not even wanting back the last two checks just one out of two. Jacobs business has been slowing down being that he’s scammed many people. Causing his workers to only go home with little to nothing a week. The 18 year old employee is going to be the bigger person and forget about the check. The employee Stated “It’s not even about the money it’s the principal, Jacob will continue to do this to multiple people anything he can do for money. Even if it’s refusing to give a homeless 18 year old his last check.Â
