Bernard A. Meyer, 67, a building contractor who worked in the Malibu and Thousand Oaks areas, died on Aug. 28 in Apen, Germany, from complications of heart disease.
He was born in Germany and emigrated to the U.S. in 1982. He originally lived in Tujunga, later moving to Newbury Park.
He is survived by a brother, Lutz Meyer, in Palm Springs; his former sister-in-law, Susan Meyer of Orange; a nephew, Andreas Meyer of LA; nieces, Katherine Meyer of Orange and Angelika Meyer of Garden Grove; a sister, Ulrike Michaelis (Henry); brother-in-law Heye Coordes; niece, Birthe Coordes; and several other nieces and nephews in Germany. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elke Coordes, in 2007.
