Twenty-five Malibu locals participated in an Angioma Alliance Walk hosted by Vintage Grocers’ founder Eric Fuchser last Sunday, Oct. 18.
The event was part of a nationwide series of benefit walks to raise awareness for abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine known as cavernous angiomas. Over $27,000 has been raised by Agnioma Alliance walks this year.
Six local angioma patients attended Malibu’s walk, including Fuchser’s wife, Linda, who was diagnosed with a cavernous angioma in 2004.
