The City of Malibu has applied for a Coastal Development Permit that would put a three-hour limit on cars parked on Cross Creek Road between Civic Center Way and Pacific Coast Highway. The restriction would be enforced seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., according to the city. The project would also be subject to a one-year evaluation period, meaning if the parking program was approved, it would undergo a one year trial period to determine its effectiveness. The city hopes to have the permit on a Planning Commission agenda this spring.
