Bush War

He shouted out, “We are at war.”

    Dim-witted followers lock-stepped followed.

The Bill of Rights he effectively tore.

    Unthinking masses everything swallowed.

    Dim-witted followers lock-stepped followed.

    Talking heads with brainless patters

    Unthinking masses everything swallowed,

If we are safe nothing else matters.

    Talking heads with brainless patters

“Round them up if they look dark.”

If we are safe nothing else matters.

    Biting dogs don’t always bark.

“Round them up if they look dark,

Don’t give them the law’s protection.”

    Biting dogs don’t always bark.

All they want is liberty rejection.

“They that can give up essential liberty

    to obtain a little safety

    deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

    Ben Franklin, 1759
