A great dam separates Malibu from the proposed Ahmanson development called the Ventura Freeway. The waterflow through the small ducts where the various creeks underflow this freeway should be easily controlled by the engineering expertise of Ahmanson and the genius of Caltrans. Any silt runoff from, as the opponents say, “reworking more than 40 football fields” should be no problem since, as far as I know, football fields are already flat and require no grading and if any silt escapes from under the freeway into Malibu Creek it will handily be trapped in the our great “historical” catch basin called Rindge Dam. To make this dam truly historical we could always call in the Lancasters of Bomber Command, the Dam Busters. It would be history in a jiffy.
