Pepperdine freshman sprinter Lindsay Sheaffer started the first meet of the season off by setting a Pepperdine school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19:34.
Sheaffer narrowly surpassed the previous school record of 2:19.46 set by Aneasha Lawrence in 2012.
“We had a lot of freshmen running in their first college track meet and this was a good beginning for them,” Head Coach Robert Radnoti said in a press release.
In a three-team meet at Westmont College, the Waves went against the host Warriors and UC Santa Barbara.Â
Pepperdine is on spring break and will head to Savannah, Georgia for the Savannah State Relays on Sat., March 1.
