Seen here with Los Angeles County officials and grandsons Jacob and Aaron Kagon, David Kagon received recognition from the County for outstanding volunteer service rendered to the community. David was an integral part of the General Plan Task Force that developed Malibu’s general plan. In the early years of Malibu cityhood, he was also a member of the Citizens’ Advisory Committee that discussed plans for the Malibu Civic Center, aided the City Council in the selection of a City Attorney, and met with County representatives in determining the feasibility of a sewer system in the Malibu area. The award was made during the County’s 43rd Annual Older Americans Recognition Day ceremonies.
