With a storm headed into Southern California this weekend, waves in Malibu and nearby LA County beaches could reach as high as 10 feet on Saturday, according to National Weather Service.

A high surf advisory will be in effect from 2-10 p.m. and “surf will build to 7 to 10 feet by the middle of the afternoon and then subside to 4 to 6 feet by late evening,” NWS said in a statement.

Chances of rain are also very likely in Malibu, with a high of 56 degrees forecast and 70% chance of showers throughout the morning and afternoon. Winds should range from 25-35 MPH.

Sunday will see clearer skies and likely no rain, according to NWS, but temperatures will remain chilly at 54 degrees.Â
