I’m surprised by the responses to the Gibson case. Though I’m Jewish, I was not disturbed by Gibson’s drunken comments so much as by the fact that he was allegedly driving twice the speed limit while drunk.
I have a friend who lost her kid to a drunk driver, and a neighbor who was hit by a drunk driver 12 years ago, sustaining spinal injuries, and who lives in constant pain and discomfort ever since.
Drunk driving is unforgivable. Whatever your opinions are, or how much of Malibu you own, the highways of life and death belong to a Higher Authority.
