Last weekend, Malibu High music ensembles won numerous awards at the Music in the Parks competition at Disneyland.
The list of winners includes sixth grade orchestra (superior rating, second place), seventh/eighth grade orchestra (superior rating, first place, best overall middle school orchestra), high school orchestra (superior rating, first place), middle school band (excellent rating, first place), high school band (superior rating, second place), concert choir (superior rating, first place), honors choir (superior rating, first place), chorale (superior rating, first place, best overall high school choir) and chamber singers (superior rating, second place). Malibu High also won the Esprit de Corps trophy for “students of exceptional character.”
