The Malibu Times’ Multimedia Director Julie Ellerton took to the streets to ask teens: ‘What do you think of the election?’
“It’s all kind of confusing, because there’s a lot of different views on it — and it’s hard, because it’s just between two people now and if you kind of don’t like either one of them that much, it’s hard. I think it’s great that a woman is running, but I just hope it doesn’t change people’s views and they don’t focus too much on the gender, but on their political views instead.”
“I don’t really like it. I don’t think either of the candidates are that good. I hope when I get to vote in the next election, there will be better presidential candidates that know what they’re doing a bit better than Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton.”
“I think it’s kind of back and forth; they’ve both been going at it. It’s been pretty interesting, honestly, just with the stuff that they’ve been saying. When I vote, I hope it’s interesting. It’s going to be tough for me to choose who I want – I want it to be an interesting debate.”
“I find it kind of entertaining because they’re always fighting. They’re not even talking about controversial issues, actual issues, they’re just biting at each others necks, yelling at each other the entire time, so it’s irritating for me to watch. I’ll be able to vote in the next election and I’m looking for someone who can be really professional and no one in this election is very professional.”
