Malibu Middle School student Katie Reinhold, 13, stars as Ratty in “The Wind in the Willows” at Theatre Palisades in Pacific Palisades. It is an updated musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s 1908 classic children’s novel in which Mole leaves her underground home for fun, friends and wild adventures in the Big World. It is directed by Dorothy Dillingham Blue, with original music by Michael Reilly. Pacific Palisades playwright Diane Grant wrote the script. Katie is the only Malibu resident in the performance.
