The Malibu Film Society will host three film screenings this week at the Malibu Screening Room.
“Sicario,” the story of an FBI agent assigned to fight drug violence along the Mexican border, will be screened on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Oscar-winning actor Benicio Toro.
A free screening of “Beasts of No Nation” will take place on Monday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. The film centers on a story of young African boys who are abducted from their villages and forced to fight in the armies of warlords. The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Cary Fukunaga and actor Abraham Åttah.
Another free screening will take place on Tuesday Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. featuring “The Judgment.” The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Stephan Komandarev. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences members are invited to attend a private dinner nearby.
