Viewpoint School in Calabasas welcomed Japanese student-athletes from Ritsumeikan Uji High School in Kyoto as part of an exchange initiative. The students were in town from Aug. 10 — 22.
During their stay, the students attended U.S. culture classes and improved their English language skills. They also showcased their ability at “American” football through several practice sessions throughout their stay, including at Viewpoint.
This is the first time Viewpoint School has hosted students for the exchange initiative, but Ritsumeikan Uji High School has partnered with Texas-based organizer Global Football to bring its students to the United States eight times in the past.
