Recent Malibu High School graduate Sarah Stipanowich was awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Star Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic school year during the school’s annual awards ceremony.
Stipanowich received the $2,500 scholarship based on excellence in leadership, community service, academics and extracurricular activities, and will attend Boston University in the fall.
Founded in 1869, P.E.O. is an international philanthropic and educational organization that promotes increased educational opportunities for women, and has given $235 million in assistance to more than 90,000 recipients.
