The City of Malibu hosted its annual Halloween Costume Parade and Carnival on Friday afternoon at Malibu Bluffs Park. Super heroes, princesses, pirates and fairies fluttered to the bounce house and participated in a variety of games before strutting down the catwalk to strike a pose for the audience. Malibu children’s librarian Lauren Kratz joined the festivities helping at the “Pushing Daisy” bean bag toss booth, as well as giving out free books to all those who attended the carnival. Food trucks were on hand to fuel the mighty beasts and energize super heroes.

“The city’s Halloween carnival is always a great event. We had over 300 people there who enjoyed games, bounce houses, trick-or-treating and a costume parade,” Kristin Riesgo, City of Malibu recreation manager, shared. “The city is always thankful for all of the donors and volunteers who help us make this event extra special for our community members.”
