The DMS11 soccer club team won three games last weekend in San Bernardino, after winning two of three games in pool play several weeks ago, as part of the California State Cup Championship. They advance from a pool that originally consisted of 56 teams from all over Southern California, down to the final four teams for their age group, boys under age 13.
DMS will take on Coachella Valley Chivas on Saturday in the semi-final game in Lancaster. If they prevail, they will play later that afternoon for the championship. DMS was selected to perform training techniques and demonstrations with renown professional international soccer coaches last week during the Soccer Expo at the L.A. Convention Center. JoeMack Leonardo was recently selected to the Cal South Olympic Development Team and traveled to Phoenix, Ariz. with the team to play in the regional national championships against six other western states. They were the runner-up to Washington, losing in the final minute of play 3-2.
