Longtime Malibu resident Charlotte Hatch passed away at 97 peacefully in her house Oct. 6. She started out in New York as a model in 1938, then met her husband, Melvin Hatch. They moved to Malibu in 1948.
Melvin and Charlotte were involved in real estate in Malibu in the ’60s. Melvin died in the late 1960s and was survived by Charlotte and their two sons, Dolph and Kevan. Charlotte loved Malibu and was very involved in the community.
“She will be very missed,” a family member said.
