Letter: Loss of fine dining

Our family owns a residence on Broad Beach Road. Over the course of Guido’s 20-year span we have spent many a celebration there. We know the back rooms (plural) very well. We often find ourselves there on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening with from two to 10 people at our table. Our family is always happy to be there. We love their food. Case in point. While dining at La Scala in Bevery Hills this summer, my son said to the waiter, “I’ll start with a Guido’s salad.” The waiter laughed and said, “I know what you mean.”

It saddens me to lose our favorite restaurant, one we have relied upon for its consistency. It has been so comfortable, that it feels like home.
