I’m a long time resident who agrees completely with your article about John’s Garden. I even remember when Gypsy Boots was a regular. Yes, the menu is enormous. Yes, the food is fresh. But you left out one of the most important reasons John’s Garden is a success. It’s Steve and his always cheery, “you be good out there!”
He does it for everyone who comes in regularly. As soon as he sees you, he recites your order from memory. I guess most of us have our favorites, mine is tofu burger, no sprouts. He’s a gem. The place is excellent but Steve makes it truly great.
