A man who allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo bank in Cross Creek Plaza and rammed his car into a Sheriff’s deputy on a motorcycle remains on the run as of 12 p.m. today.
According to a press release issued by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, the station received a call of a robbery in progress at the Wells Fargo shortly after 11 a.m. The suspect was later spotted fleeing in his car, and Sheriff’s deputies pursued him. At some point during the pursuit, the suspect intentionally rammed a Sheriff’s deputy on a motorcycle, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills report.
The deputy, whose name was not released, was airlifted to a local hospital. He is listed in serious condition.
The suspect is described as a six-foot black male in his early 40s wearing a gray and blue Hawaiian shirt. He was driving a two-door Honda Accord that has damage on the right side of the vehicle. The car’s right-front tire was an under-sized spare, and the plates were made of paper with yellow writing.
