Malibu residents Rafi and Roui Israel visited the Sept. 11 memorial flag display at Pepperdine University with their children, Raya and Rahm, on Sept. 21. The family found a flag of Israel tied together with an American flag, which was particularly meaningful to them because the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, begins Wednesday night.
