Fights madness of war

Jeremy Veekner says that an American not supporting our soldiers is more dangerous than the enemy is. In the case of our current crisis, I disagree (letters to the editor Feb. 20). What is dangerous and detrimental to life on this entire planet is for a person to openly, or by their silence, support a President and an administration which is bringing the American people into a war that is not only unjust, but may very well lead to a world catastrophe that we cannot fathom with our human minds.

I will continue to use my voice to try and save the lives of the soldiers before this war begins, but if Bush gets his way then I will pray for their safety, but I will never support this war. I cannot support the reasons for this massacre. I will remain true to Jesus Christ and my beliefs, and I will not give false support merely because people say that if I don’t, then I am creating danger for our troops. It is not me who is dangerous to the men and women who serve in the military, it is George Bush and those who support his madness.
