Real Estate by the Numbers
There are stories about Malibu real estate with a lot of words. There are stories with words and some numbers. And there are stories where the numbers come first. Such as:
98 – The total number of homes for sale in Malibu in March 2005, when the market was at its raging hottest.
315 – The summer seasonal, high inventory of homes for sale this past June.
250 – Approximate number of active, regular, consistent Realtors who work in the Malibu marketplace.
60 – Number of Malibu-based agents who have had a listing of a home in 2011 that sold.
85 – Millions of dollars spent on a Beverly Hills estate this year, largest sale ever in Southern California.
22 – Age of the heiress who made the purchase above.
37 – Millions of dollars spent for the largest sale in Malibu, about one year ago, for a mansion on Carbon Beach.
34 – Number of listings, at this writing, of homes with the No. 1 top listing agent in Malibu.
55 – Number of listings, at this writing, of total homes listed with the 2nd- 10th top listing agents in Malibu.
474 – Millions of dollars, projected, of 2011 single-family homes sales volume in Malibu.
980 – Millions of dollars in single-family homes sales volume for Malibu in 2005.
