As a community, we have important choices to make in November, with three city council seats up for grabs. One of my three votes is going to my friend Jennifer deNicola. I wanted to share with you why I think she is exactly who we need to represent us in our city.
DeNicola never aspired to be a politician. However, she is the type of person who if she sees a problem in our community, she will fight for what is right. Several years ago, when it came to light that our public schools were contaminated with dangerous carcinogens, deNicola emerged as a leader to champion addressing one of the most important public health issues that has ever faced our city’s families.
Against insurmountable odds, she led the fight and won. Families in Malibu can rest more easily knowing our schools will be free of cancer-causing chemicals, thanks to deNicola’s tireless work and her ability to build a team to work with her.
DeNicola’s goals are to make PCH safer, to address traffic issues and homelessness, to defend the environment, and to rid our city of toxic rodenticides and pesticides. I have seen firsthand, over the past few years, deNicola in action. She is smart, she educates herself on the issues, she is bold, tenacious and one of the most hardworking people I know. Despite obstacles, she never gives up. She is exactly the type of leader we need for Malibu. DeNicola has already received countless top endorsements.Â
Please join me in voting for deNicola.Â
