The Los Angeles County Regional Water Quality Board has changed the location of its hearing to approve the septic ban agreement with the City of Malibu. The hearing will now take place at 9 a.m. Thursday morning at Glendale City Hall, located at 613 East Broadway, Glendale.
The board is expected to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the city of Malibu and the State Water Resources Control Board, which was passed by the Malibu City Council June 27. Under the MOU, different property owners in the Civic Center area will be required to hook up to centralized wastewater treatment facilities by 2015, 2019 and possibly 2025.
