Letter: Opposite view on Prop 40

I always enjoy seeing what Arnold York thinks about the ballot measures, but I think he messed up on Prop. 40, “overturning State Senate Districts.” Prop. 40 is a referendum so voting is counter-intuitive. If you want to retain the districts drawn by the Citizen’s Redistricting Commission (the ones we already used in the June Primary) you need to vote “yes.” Voting “no” will force the California Supreme Court to appoint Special Masters to redraw the State Senate District maps. Both the proponents and the opponents of Prop, 40 are asking voters to vote “yes” to retain the current maps.
