Bank of Books plans to host one last Coffeehouse event before closing its doors at the end of April. The store’s final music event will take place on April 9 beginning at 4:30 p.m., and will feature several musicians who have performed at the store before, along with some new acts.
All Malibu residents and guests are welcome to come and enjoy performances by singers Leslie Bixler, David Lynch, Max Gall, Chris Kaul and Kevin McNally, guitarist Steve Posey, jazzmen Bill Bixler and Steve Cole, The Malibu Ukelele Orchestra and The Malibu Jazz-Funk Band.
Also on April 9, Malibu author Carol Simpson will discuss and sign her new book, “None of Us Are Getting Out of Here Alive: Death, Stepping Outside Traditional Frameworks and Limitations,” beginning at 2 p.m. This will be the store’s last author reading.
