Southern California Edison spokesman Mark Olson said 3,800 people were briefly without power last night after a “high voltage underground switch” at 22211 Pacific Coast Highway, next to the Verizon building, failed at 5:39 p.m. Thursday evening. Olson said power was restored after 35 minutes. 81 customers were still without power after that time, but Olson said power was restored to those customers by 3:40 a.m. Friday morning
