Bluffs Park is the site this weekend of the annual Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering. It takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Hundreds of Native Americans from tribes from California and the rest of the country are represented at the event, which will feature dancers in colorful regalia, Native American foods and arts and crafts (including demonstrations on how to make a bow and arrow), storytelling and a tipi from the plains Apache Indians.

Admission and parking for the event are free, with parking located along both sides of Malibu Canyon Road and Civic Center Way. The City of Malibu is providing a free shuttle bus to carry patrons to and from the event.
