Local author Kaira Rouda was awarded an Indie Excellence Award for Best Chick Lit for her first novel, “Here, Home, Hope.” The book is about a woman’s journey tackling her own midlife crisis as she nears 40.
“This is my dream come true,” Rouda said. “Receiving this award for ‘Here, Home, Hope,’ my debut novel, is a remarkable honor.”
