Singer/songwriter Pink and husband, motorcycle racer Carey Hart, get ready to lead the group of motorcyclists for the annual charity Ride to the Flags on Sunday morning.

The White Heart Foundation hosted its seventh annual charity Ride to the Flags on Sept. 14.

Almost 1,000 motorcyclists rode from the Naval Base in Ventura County to the Waves Of Flags on display at Pepperdine University, and then to Bluffs Park for a celebration. People gathered at the military base prior to departure for a memorial salute and flyover honoring United States Marine Cpl. Jed Morgan, who lost both legs and the use of his dominant arm in an IED blast in Afghanistan.

After the ceremony, singer/songwriter Pink and husband, motorcycle racer Carey Hart, actor Eric Christian Olsen, and recording artist Butch Walker led the motorcyclists to their final destination — Bluffs Park. This year’s ride was to raise funds for Morgan and his family. Donations will continue to be accepted for Morgan, as well as other Wounded Warriors, at White Heart Foundation at whiteheart.org.Â
