If the folks of Malibu find the name deButts offensive then they are the ones with small minds and even lower self-esteem. We are very proud of our family and if anyone would do a little research, they would find the deButts family has a long and rich history in Virginia, Maryland and other parts of the east coast. I am sure that if the fine folks of Malibu would take a few minutes to consider how short sighted they are, they would understand there is value in not being a Smith or Jones. We are very proud of our family and what our various relatives have stood for and accomplished over the years.
