As of Monday, Oct. 9, Roland Jones Jr. will be working as an assistant coach for the Pepperdine women’s basketball team, under head coach and wife DeLisha Milton-Jones.
“More than being my husband, he will be a great asset to our existing staff of ex-professional players and phenomenal people,” Milton-Jones said in a statement on the Waves’ website. “I am very excited about the team of coaches we have going forward.”
Jones has over 20 years of experience; he played with the Memphis (formerly Vancouver) Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks. He has additionally played with several teams internationally.
The women’s basketball team officially starts its season on Nov. 10 at Long Beach State University.
