The City of Malibu will be collecting Christmas trees so they can be recycled through Sunday, Jan. 18. The city is asking people to remove water containers, metal stands, ornaments, tinsel and lights before dropping off their trees. Flocked and fire retardant trees are accepted.
There are two locations for tree drop off: 29136 Pacific Coast Highway, near Heathercliff Road, and Bluffs Park eastside cul-de-sac. For more information, call city staff at 310.456.2489 ext. 286.
