Malibu High School’s choral groups earned awards at the Music in the Parks Choral Festival in Anaheim last weekend and competed against 24 other choirs from California, Arizona and Nevada.
The Middle School Concert Choir earned first place in the Class A Middle School Choir division, and the Select Choir placed first in the Class A Middle School Women’s Choir division. The High School Chorale was awarded first place in the Class A High School Mixed Choir division, and the women’s chamber singers placed first in the High School Women’s Choir division. Additionally, the chamber singers were awarded first overall and senior Ren Martinez was named the best soloist.
