Longtime Malibu resident Shirley Willson died recently. She is well known in the community for her volunteer work for numerous organizations including the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, Our Lady of Malibu Church, Navy League of Malibu, the Republican Club and the Malibu Lagoon Museum, as well as other nonprofits. Willson was also a volunteer for the Malibu Olympic Neighbors in 1984.
A memorial in her honor is scheduled to take place at Our Lady of Malibu Church on May 20 at 8 a.m.
