Actress Brie Larson, 30, who won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the 2015 film “Room,” has purchased a home in Malibu for $3.4 million. According to Variety, the 2,100-square-foot mid-century cottage with swimming pool was originally built in 1956 and boasts an ocean view. The home, which was completely remodeled by the previous owner, is in the hills east of Point Dume.
At the same time she made her first Malibu real estate purchase, Larson also purchased a home in a residential area of Woodland Hills. Her previous home was in the Hollywood Hills.
Larson, with 63 acting credits in movies and television, has been acting since she was a child. In addition to her Oscar win, she’s also won numerous awards and nominations for her acting roles in “Short Term 12” (2013), “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019).
Shen Schulz of Sotheby’s International Realty held the Malibu listing and Monique Caulfield of Keller Williams represented Larson.
