Malibu High cross country star Caroline Pietrzyk has another trophy for her crowded shelf of accolades: second place in the Div. IV State Cross Country Championships.
Pietrzyk finished the race in Fresno last weekend with a time of 17:52. The second-place title earned her a spot in the Footlocker West Coast Regionals on Thurs., Dec. 7, at Mt. SAC.
A week earlier, the high school junior became Malibu High’s first female cross country section champion as she captured the CIF Division IV title in a personal-best time of 17:32.
