[Update: 10:40 a.m.]: All lanes were reopened on Pacific Coast Highway following the earlier collision after 10 a.m. Tuesday, per City of Malibu.
Two vehicles were involved in a traffic collision Tuesday morning, April 23, on Pacific Coast Highway, south of El Matador State Beach.
“There were serious injuries,” Lt. Jennifer Seetoo with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station said. “One person was airlifted and transported to the hospital.”
The sheriff’s station received word of the incident at approximately 6:16 a.m.Â
One lane is closed in each direction on PCH in the area. Seetoo could not confirm when the lanes would reopen.Â
It is unclear how many people were involved in the collision at this time.
