The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be closing four miles on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in both directions for overnight repairs following weather damage.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, the road—also known as State Route 27—will be closed between Pacific Coast Highway and south of Almar Road (at Jalan Jalan Imports) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. On Sunday, Oct. 1, the same stretch of road will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Detour signs will be posted on PCH as well as SR-27. Caltrans will be replacing a fence, installing netting to catch debris and making repairs to damage on slopes that occurred following a June 29 brush fire. The repairs are also being made to prevent further closures during the next rainy season.
