The City of Malibu released its 2017 Clean Bay Certified list, which includes 35 local establishments. The restaurants were chosen based on their commitment to clean water and sustainability. The number shows that 58 percent of food service establishments in Malibu are meeting the criteria. The criteria included having two water conservation measures, using less toxic products for outdoor cleaning and serving water only when requested, among other things.
“I am very proud of the management and staff of our local restaurants that took the time and effort to protect our coastal environment,” Mayor Skylar Peak said in a statement.
