At Home in the Water

Local kids enjoyed a day out at the beach this weekend at a joint THERASurf and Big Smiles event at Malibu’s Surfrider Beach.

THERASurf, a nonprofit surf therapy group, brought children with special needs the joy and healing of surfing, providing instruction and support for kids to catch waves in a safe environment.

Big Smiles, an LA-based nonprofit, provided art activities for kids to get creative during their day of fun in the sun.

The event was sponsored by LAX II.
