A Pepperdine University student and sorority member admitted to stealing copies of the university’s student newspaper, The Pepperdine Graphic, the paper reports. According to the newspaper, the student admitted to stealing the papers because the issue included a story about one of her sorority sisters being involved in a drunk driving accident. The case is now being handled by student affairs.

At the end of October, about 350 copies of the student newspaper were reported stolen, making it the second time during the semester copies of the paper had been stolen. According to the Graphic, accounting for printing cost, staff scholarships and advertising revenue, the 350 missing newspapers cost around $1,460.
