A shallow magnitude 2.6 earthquake was reported Friday morning near Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The quake occurred at 7:11 a.m. at a depth of 9.3 miles.
The epicenter was seven-and-a-half miles west-northwest of Malibu, 9.9 miles from Agoura Hills and 9.3 miles from Thousand Oaks, according to the USGS.
